FAQ
Where can I find a list of Opportunity Zone census tracts?
Pick a state below, then a county. Each list is a sortable, filterable table of every tract that is OZ 2.0 eligible (IRS Rev. Proc. 2026-14 appendix) or in a current (2018) Opportunity Zone (CDFI Fund list), with the 11-digit GEOID and a link to each tract page.
What do eligible, designated and nominated mean?
Eligible means the tract is on the IRS OZ 2.0 eligibility list. Current (2018) OZ means the tract is in a zone designated in 2018, which runs through 2026. Nominated means a governor has put the tract on the state's published OZ 2.0 list. No OZ 2.0 tract is designated yet; Treasury certifications take effect January 1, 2027.
Why does a filed state show no nominated tracts?
Many governors have filed their OZ 2.0 nominations with Treasury without publishing the tract-level list. We only mark tracts nominated when the state has published the list, and we link that source.
Not tax advice. 2018 zones were drawn on 2010 tracts and matched to 2020 tracts (how we match).
