Colorado OZ 2.0 Selection Process

The Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) leads Colorado's OZ 2.0 selection process. Colorado has 360 eligible tracts under OBBBA and can nominate 90 tracts.
Process:
- Early 2026: OEDIT engaged local governments, economic development organizations, and community leaders to inform the selection criteria.
- Spring 2026: OEDIT announced plans for a public GIS tool to let residents, developers, and communities explore eligible tracts.
- Late Spring 2026: Community feedback window closes. Specific deadline to be announced.
- Summer 2026: OEDIT reviews submissions and recommends tracts to Governor Jared Polis.
- By September 29, 2026: Governor Polis submits final nominations to Treasury.
