Florida OZ 2.0 Selection Process

FloridaCommerce runs Florida's OZ 2.0 selection process. Florida has 1,360 eligible tracts under OBBBA — the third-largest state allocation — and can nominate 340 tracts.
Process:
- February 26, 2026: FloridaCommerce launched the OZ 2.0 Statewide Tour, a series of community outreach events encouraging counties, municipalities, and community organizations to submit nomination recommendations.
- Ongoing: FloridaCommerce has published a formal OZ 2.0 guidance document along with a nomination submission portal at floridajobs.org/OpportunityZones.
- Summer 2026: FloridaCommerce reviews submissions and recommends tracts to Governor Ron DeSantis.
- By September 29, 2026: Governor DeSantis submits final nominations to Treasury.
