Selection Process

Missouri OZ 2.0 Selection Process

Last updated: April 17, 2026. Status: Intake form pending release of official eligible tract list.

The Missouri Department of Economic Development (DED) leads Missouri's OZ 2.0 selection process. As of mid-April 2026, Missouri DED has announced that an intake form for community nominations will be published once the official eligible tract list is released and reviewed.

Missouri's process is structured to respond to the federal eligibility list rather than running a parallel eligibility process. Local governments, EDOs, and tribal governments should monitor the DED program page for the launch of the intake form.

Process:

  • April 2026 and ongoing: DED monitoring federal eligibility publications.
  • When published: DED opens intake form for community nominations.
  • Summer 2026: DED reviews submissions and recommends tracts to Governor Mike Kehoe.
  • By September 29, 2026: Governor Kehoe submits final nominations to Treasury.
